![]() I thought things were getting crazy when I managed to beat Jevil and thought to myself “it cannot get any better than this right?” Turns out that I was wrong as in Chapter 2, the battle systems continue to get more intuitive and more innovative than before. Other than that little hiccup, the battle system was phenomenal and I loved that some elements of Undertale were taken into Deltarune’s battle system and makes for what was already an unique and creative way of fighting, just like its predecessor. But, I believe that issue has been fixed with some of the recent patches as of today. Though, when I played on the PC version, my Nintendo Switch controller did not sync up properly and it kept moving up and down and moving around the menu erratically. Movement is very fluid and responsive, 100% of the time (for me, at least). If not, be prepared for this review on Deltarune!Ĭontrols for this game are amazing! Whenever I mess up, I can see it play out in the game. So, if you want to read a spoiler-free review, I would suggest looking somewhere else. As per usual, this review (or essay) will contain spoilers. I did replay Chapter 1 before playing Chapter 2, so I have a good idea on what I am talking about. Putting that aside, I will be talking about my experiences with both chapters. Due to the fact that this is an alternate universe, no one can never fully know where the game is going to be heading… It is fun to speculate though. ![]() The focal point of Deltarune is about these new characters that have some connection the characters people once knew, but have some differences. Well, they did get what they wanted, but they were pushed back to the background. ![]() Undertale definitely left an impact when it came out and people have been clamoring up to see more of those lovable characters in another game by Toby Fox. I think it is safe to say that everyone that started playing Deltarune, came from playing Undertale. It was a delight to see another chapter come out and WOW!!! That last chapter really made me want to see more of the world of Deltarune. Nobody was not expecting for Chapter 2 to come out in the fall of this year, let alone it being free as well.
